Top 5: Fundraisers to help India fight Covid 19

Rise in cases. High death rate. Insufficient medical resources. All of these are terms that we read about every single day. The situation around us is discomforting, yes, and it is crucial to take care of ourselves and our loved ones. While we take all the necessary precautions for ourselves, it is also our responsibility to do whatever we can, to help those in need during this unfortunate situation. 1.Oxygen for Life- ROTEX 3054

The Rotary Alumni Association(ROTEX) of District 3054 are gathering funds to provide oxygen concentrators to patients at their home. This will ensure that patients get the required resources to be treated at their homes. As a result, it will reduce the rising pressure on hospitals where beds are not available.

2.Help India Breathe- Hemkunt Foundation

Hemkunt Foundation is working with the goal of providing and delivering O2 cylinders to help COVID patients across the country. They have tied up with hospitals and are conducting drives to make sure that maximum patients are being given the medical resources they need.

3. Setting up Covid Care Centre- One Billion Literates Foundation

With the rise in the number of Covid cases in the country, there has been a pressing shortage in the number of hospital beds/covid centers to treat the patients. One Billion Literates Foundation needs funds to set up a Covid Care Center in Bangalore. This initiative is to provide all things necessary to run it, including medical staff, resources and medical equipment, food, and medicines.

4. Transporation Network- Help now

Due to the acute shortage of ambulances during the pandemic, a group of young students started an initiative called Help Now. They work to provide a safe network of transportation to transport COVID patients/suspects, medical equipment, supplies, and healthcare workers efficiently. They are currently operational in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Pune.

5.Ration Distribution amid Lockdown- Feeding from Far

Feeding from Far is an initiative to provide food and meals to the most vulnerable and underprivileged parts of the society in Mumbai, who are struggling to sustain themselves during the pandemic. As a result, This initiative is catering to more than 7000 people who are unemployed and unable to provide for themselves.
