2. Singing Christmas tree
The Singing Christmas tree located in a small market near Zurich’s main downtown street, Bahnhofstrasse, is an attraction for tourists and locals alike. It is open from November 21 to December 23 with choir performances at different timings throughout the week.
3. Circus Conelli
This dreamy circus is unique only to Zurich. For the residents of Zurich, Christmas sets in only when the circus tent is set up at Bauschänzli. The Conelli runs for a period of 39 days (From November 22 to December 31) and puts up a brilliant show with some of the world’s best acrobats, comedy sketches, music and excellent poetry. A part of the National Museum of Zurich, Illuminarium is a Christmas delight that you absolutely cannot miss. During winters, the inner courtyard of the museum is transformed into a magical wonderland with a 30 minute light show, illusions, music and mouth-watering culinary experiences. It appeals to the tastes of every age group and the entry to the festival is free! Book your tours in advance for a minimal fee to enjoy the light show.
